The month of October was busy with Cor, Bingo, the Anchor Award and the Echoes of Grace cemetery walk with the Saints. November started off with Holy Hour and the Day of Prayer for Clergy. In December we have to Keep Christ in Christmas and host our Special People's Party.
Our next exemplification will be DEC 12 at 6:30 PM. Beforehand Ray Michaud is preparing Hispanic Shepard's Pie. I plan to bring dessert. Can someone volunteer to bring a salad?
We have one warning tonight regarding a very generous donation from the family of SK Ray Newman.
Our Lenten Fish Fry initiative is still being explored. We should have a good idea what the council needs to invest in to make it happen. Then we will vote.
Thanks to all who continue to recruit new members. |

Prayer for Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney
God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (our sick or in distress). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
