Our next Business Meeting is Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 6:30 PM in person and on Zoom.

Dinner will be provided by Worthy Trustee Brad Chenette and (mostly) his lovely wife Linda.  

There are two Warnings this month.  The cost of a new printer and Fr Naples hotel expense at the State Conference. 

May 8 is the suspense to RSVP the Camp Ta Kum Ta BBQ and check presentation on June 5 at 5 PM. Couples welcome. We will have a very brief officer meeting at 6:30 PM. 

Attention all Council members: the 125th Annual Exemplification of the 4th Degree will take place on June 14 right here at St John Vianney Parish. We need to have the most candidates as we are hosting this event. Do not worry if you are not a third Degree-we can catch you up prior to this culminating event. Let us know if you have the desire to go further.

Many thanks for the meal provided tonight by Linda and Brad Chenette.

Mike Audette and I were your delegates to the 127^th Annual State Convention at Killington Grand Resort. I am happy to report that Jay and Alice Benson were recognized as Family of the Year. We received the Family Program Award, too by virtue of our 39^th Super Bingo For Kids With Cancer.Cor Formation meets again on SAT May 17 at 10 AM.There will be Council Bingo again on May 22^nd.   The Officer meeting is at Camp Ta Kum Ta on June 5 at 6:30 PM. We will have a BBQ hosted by the camp. We need your RSVP NLT May 8.

Our Trustees will be busy in June. In June we need to conduct an election for officers and Service Personnel in the next fraternal year. We also need to establish a new budget and prepare for the year end audit. Please consider running for one of our positions. Give your ideas for officer candidates and budget line items to the trustees. 

Scholarship applications are due to Worthy Faithful Navigator Mike Audette by May 25. Might be a good dinner table discussion with family. 

Calling all 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd Degree Brothers! Please make your Exemplification of the 4^th Degree on June 14^th right here at St John Vianney. We will pre-qualify you for the 4th Degree as necessary.

Prayer for Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (our sick or in distress). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
