Annual Budget 2025-2026 |
|
The Worthy Council Trustees in consultation with the Financial Secretary, Treasurer, and Grand Knight have prepared an Annual Budget proposal for your approval. The total budget is estimated at $20,675. The Budget proposal is provided for your review. Please note this does not reflect the amount of money to be withdrawn from our Morgan Stanley Investment Fund. Final amount will be determined based on the checking balance. The increase from last year of $3, 575 includes the monies voted on by the council, especially $2,600 for charitable donations of $100 each in the name of the monthly Knight and Family of the Month.

Scholarship Fund Balance for Catholic Education |
|
The Council Archie Myers Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 was not awarded this year. There were no qualified applicants. In the past we have simply carried the amount into the next year. There have been past discussions, but no passed motions to use the money for a Catholic School in need, or roll it over into next year and increase the amount. Our Chaplain proposes we issue the full amount of allocated scholarship money to St Paul's School in Barton, VT where he served as Pastor. Will the council support this educational use of the scholarship money in Archie Myers name?

Prayer for Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney
God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (our sick or in distress). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
