Installation of State Officers was August 15th, 2021 after the 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral. Well attended; good food cooked by the Lion’s Club.

Anchor Award honoring our Chaplain, Fr. Tim Naples was September 3rd at 6 PM at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington, VT. Well attended and a nice evening. Next step is to reconcile expenses and collections. GK will send Cert. of Appreciation to the Hotel.

Our first monthly First Friday Holy Hour was SEP 3rd from 3-4 PM. We did the scriptural Rosary, and it was very moving. We hope to increase volunteers and participants as time goes on. The next Holy Hour will be OCT 1 from 3-4 PM. Same format.

Collection for People with Intellectual Disabilities (Tootsie Roll) at the four Churches in our Council will take place on 18-19 SEP. Please select a Mass (or two) to support. It will not take long and can have a huge impact on these special people. RSVP to Ted Barrett.

OCT 2 is the Right to Life Symposium. At the Doubletree from 0900-1500.  I think the Council should pay the $50 (plus tax = $51.80) for Life Director to attend.

The Council committed last month to cook and serve breakfast at St Jude in conjunction with CCD. That is now on hold due to Covid-19 resurgence.

Prayer for Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
